In discussing the first 12 verses of Ephesians chapter 3, Troy points out that Paul’s emphasis is not that the Gentiles have come over to join the Jews and their Old Testament heritage. If that was the case, they would not need Jesus. Instead, everyone stands on the same ground; Jews and Gentiles alike (all people) must come to God through the gospel.
