Continuing in our summer series through the Ten Commandments, Troy reminds us that when we worship, we place our complete confidence and trust in God’s ability to do for us what neither we, nor anyone else, nor anything else, can do for us. He also zeroes in on the fact that we are not to make any images, including false ideas about God, in an attempt to represent Him, since it’s impossible to express or worship His attributes in that manner. Simply stated, the second commandment forbids us from thinking that God is like us or something that we imagine.
