Continuing in our Hebrews series, Troy covers chapter 4 and points out that Jesus knows exactly what it’s like to walk in our shoes, because He walked in them, too. He knows our pain and suffering and weaknesses; He knows what it’s like to face all kinds of temptation. And He has a genuine compassion for us, not as someone who knows about suffering from the outside, but as one who entered into our suffering and made it His own. Troy also reminds us that prayer is powerful, and because of what Jesus has done for us, we can approach God with confidence, anytime and anyplace, and know that God will help us, and the other people for whom we pray.
