Do You Really Have Everything You Need?
To kick off our new series, We Have Problems, God Has Solutions (which will take us through the book of 1 Corinthians), Troy acknowledges that many of us feel like we’re not good enough or strong enough. We often feel unworthy or unloved. But we need to understand that the negative things we believe about ourselves are lies from Satan. We could even say that those fears are lies that are told to us. None of us is that person who grace could never change. We don’t have to live like we’re not good enough, or strong enough, or smart enough, because we have a God who is all of those things.

What Were You Born to Do?
We were all placed on this planet for a specific purpose. We were born to accomplish something, but it’s our choice as to whether or not we discover and carry out our purpose. But there’s also something every Christian was born again to do, and that’s good works. Specifically, and most importantly, we do good works so that others might be saved.

If God Calls, Will You Answer?
Continuing in our series, "What Has God Done for You?" Bob teaches us about the ways in which God still "speaks" to us, even today. He also challenges us to answer the call of God when we know we are hearing from Him. This includes all aspects of our daily lives, including our relationships, jobs, recreational activities, and ministry for the church.

Do You Believe That God Loves You?
Continuing in our series, What Has God Done for You? Troy reminds us, and encourages us to believe wholeheartedly, that everything God does is motivated by His love for us and His desire to do what is best for us. Jesus paid our penalty and offers us salvation as a free gift of His grace, but it only applies to us if we have faith that Jesus really did this on our behalf. On a practical level, when we’re tempted, and struggling, and really wanting to do what we want to do, instead of what God says, will we still believe that God’s way is better?

What Has God Done for You?
To kick off our new series, “What Has God Done for You?” (which will take us through the month of January), Troy discusses the fact that God sent His only Son to die in our place, and how that sacrifice not only gave us a gift we don’t deserve, but actually one that is quite the opposite of what we deserve.

    Old Endings and New Beginnings
Followers of Jesus often struggle to determine whether or not God is calling us to do something. In fact, the only time we should feel 100% certain that God is speaking directly to us is when we read the Bible. However, discerning God's calling is really not some super-mystical process. What’s more, God will sometimes give us unmistakable confirmation that He’s at work leading, guiding, and yes, even calling us to do something.

    If There Were No Christmas
    Series: Standalone
For our lead-in to Christmas, Troy asks us to imagine what our lives would be like if there were no Christmas. The world would have some serious deficiencies if Jesus had never been born, but ultimately a life without Christmas would mean a God who broke His promises. Thankfully, that's not the case and God sent His Son to be born, to live a perfect life, and to die a terrible death on the cross to take on the punishment that we deserved.

    Strategic Failure
In this week's message from our Finding Favor series, Bob teaches us about the concept of "Strategic Failure." We can have a new definition of success: “Finding Favor with God.” Why settle for earthly success when you can have God’s favor? And even our pain and suffering have a purpose; our failures can actually be our successes. With this in mind, Bob closes with a challenge for us not to be the ones yelling at God for the pain that's in our life.

    Interpersonal Intervention
In today’s message from our Finding Favor series, Troy reminds us that God truly wants to hear our prayers. If we really pay attention, and if we have the faith to understand the difference our prayers make, we will spend a lot more time talking to God. Specifically, God sometimes changes another person’s mind when we pray for God’s favor in our lives. And God may use us to change someone else’s mind. We might be the answer to someone else’s prayers.

    Refocusing the Church
    Series: Standalone
(Note: This recording picks up a few minutes into the message.) For our Mission Sunday, Salonique Adolphe, the director (and one of the founders) of Living Water Christian Mission in Gonaives, Haiti encourages us to refocus our efforts as a church and achieve our primary objective of seeking and saving the lost. Each one of us is called to go into our city, our country, and our world to make disciples of all nations. And when we go, Jesus promises to be with us always, even to the end of the age.
