With today's message, Troy starts us off on a four-week series called, "I Am a Church Member," based on some ideas in the book of the same name by Thom Rainer. This message discusses some of the struggles and challenges we face in the church, while encouraging all of us who are members to be honest and look in the mirror. Many congregations are weak because many of us as church members have lost the biblical understanding of what it means to be a part of the body of Christ.

In today's message, Dean reflects on our childhood memories of church and Sunday School, as well as our subsequent involvement in youth and teen ministries. He discusses the critical importance of making the jump from youth group to participation in adult services. Ultimately, he challenges us to treat young people as assets and to prepare them for "big church" when they finish high school and become young adults.

As a veteran youth worker of more than 30 years, Bud shares some of the most important lessons he's learned through serving young people. He offers exceptional wisdom and strategies for reaching the youths in our sphere of influence, whether we're parents or grandparents or aunts and uncles - or just church members who serve our students and want to see the next generation thrive in ministry.
