In this pre-Easter message, Troy reminds us that when life seems to be at its worst, and things are utterly hopeless and dark, there is still hope and there is still light up ahead. In the supreme example, the apparent defeat of Jesus on Friday was a dark time indeed, but God knew that Sunday was coming and that the supposed defeat would turn into the biggest comeback victory of all time.

There’s a power that’s often overlooked and underappreciated, and that’s staying power. It means we refuse to quit, no matter what happens and no matter how long it takes.  Then, sooner or later, one day will be the day for something miraculous to happen, and that day will change every day thereafter.

We often continue to do certain things, even when they're not working, so we need to make courageous decisions that chart new courses in our lives. Can we reach the point where our bad habits and self-defeating behaviors have gotten the best of us for long enough? If so, we can establish new habits to replace the bad ones, and we can do it one day at a time.

Troy explains what it means, and how it impacts our lives, to have an uncompromising commitment to continuous improvement. As we keep that commitment, God grows us little by little until we reach maturity and become as effective as possible in shining our light in a dark world.
