What Has God Done for You?
To kick off our new series, “What Has God Done for You?” (which will take us through the month of January), Troy discusses the fact that God sent His only Son to die in our place, and how that sacrifice not only gave us a gift we don’t deserve, but actually one that is quite the opposite of what we deserve.

    Old Endings and New Beginnings
Followers of Jesus often struggle to determine whether or not God is calling us to do something. In fact, the only time we should feel 100% certain that God is speaking directly to us is when we read the Bible. However, discerning God's calling is really not some super-mystical process. What’s more, God will sometimes give us unmistakable confirmation that He’s at work leading, guiding, and yes, even calling us to do something.

    If There Were No Christmas
    Series: Standalone
For our lead-in to Christmas, Troy asks us to imagine what our lives would be like if there were no Christmas. The world would have some serious deficiencies if Jesus had never been born, but ultimately a life without Christmas would mean a God who broke His promises. Thankfully, that's not the case and God sent His Son to be born, to live a perfect life, and to die a terrible death on the cross to take on the punishment that we deserved.

    Interpersonal Intervention
In today’s message from our Finding Favor series, Troy reminds us that God truly wants to hear our prayers. If we really pay attention, and if we have the faith to understand the difference our prayers make, we will spend a lot more time talking to God. Specifically, God sometimes changes another person’s mind when we pray for God’s favor in our lives. And God may use us to change someone else’s mind. We might be the answer to someone else’s prayers.

    Redemptive Poverty
In today’s message from the Finding Favor series, Bud shares about those times in our lives when financial scarcity can actually be a sign of God’s blessing. God just might show us His favor by making us poorer for a season. The real question for all of us is, “Can we be blessed financially when God gives us wealth AND when He takes it away?"

    By the Way, Thank You!
    Series: Standalone
In Luke chapter 17, we read the account of Jesus healing 10 men who had leprosy. Jesus instructs them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests,” and as they went, they were cleansed. What’s interesting is that when Jesus sent them off to see the priests, these men were no better off than they had been ten minutes earlier, and yet, they headed off in search of the priests. God placed a demand on them (and on us today) to have faith, before anything at all has changed.

    God Will Provide
If you've ever wondered whether God wants to intervene in your life to give you a blessing, just think of the most over-the-top, sitting-on-the-edge-of-his-seat-with-anticipation, ready-to-shower-you-with-amazing-gifts type of dad, then multiply that a thousand-fold.

    Intentional Obscurity
Continuing in our Finding Favor series, based on the book of that name by Brian Jones, Troy discusses those times when we pray for God’s favor and it seems that the only way for Him to truly bless us is to place in total obscurity for a season. We will discover that obscurity is a sign of God’s favor, not a sign of His anger.

    Holy Discontent
For this week’s message in our “Finding Favor” series, Troy shares about those times when God, in His favor, brings us to a place where we're angry at the messes we’ve made in our lives, and we finally throw up our hands and give up. We take real action because of this “Holy Discontent” that’s built up, where God helps us understand that something must change.

    Involuntary Perseverance
What happens when we ask God for His favor, and instead of opening doors for us to explore new opportunities, He slams doors shut and says “no” to our requests. We are shocked because we thought we would be “blessed,” not realizing that God limiting our options can be one of His greatest blessings of all.
