9/6/2007 - We're finishing up another busy summer, including five straight weeks of major events from mid-July through mid-August: Vacation Bible School, Junior Camp, Nationwide Youth Roundup, Senior Camp, and New Life Northwest. God worked mightily through all of these ministries, and provided us with safe travel for the out-of-town functions.

I'm continually in awe of these "mountaintop" experiences where our young people not only participate in high-quality events, but also get a break from many of the temptations and distractions of "normal" life. Now that we're back home and starting a new school year, it may become more challenging to focus consistently on God, but I believe that a majority of our youths have made positive changes that will help carry them through any potential "valley" phases in their lives.

We're also looking forward to climbing another "mountain" soon-our 11th annual Spokane Youth Rally will take place at Sunrise from October 5-7. We're all excited to learn, grow, and have some fun and fellowship with our friends in the Spokane area and throughout the northwest. Please keep the rally, and the youth ministry as a whole, in your prayers as often as you remember us.
